Whether you are a seasoned developer or are considering your first development, Town staff are dedicated to supporting you through our Business Concierge Program. We appreciate your desire to invest in Georgina and want to ensure you are assisted through the development approval process and are provided with the information you need to help ensure your project is on time and successful.

To start the process, our Economic Development Office will set up an introductory meeting where we can learn more about your development and discuss site selection, our process and development incentives. Planning Staff will then coordinate a formal consultation meeting with other departments and agencies to find out more about the requirements needed for your development.

Development and planning information 

The Town of Georgina's Development Services Department coordinates all municipal development approvals in conjunction with the applicable regional and provincial policy framework. Staff will assist with providing information on processes, applications and fees.

A guideline is available to provide general direction to the building permit process for industrial, commercial, institutional and multi-residential uses. As it is not a complete list of all requirements, you will find links to governing documents such as Ontario's Building Code, the Town's Zoning By-law and other applicable laws that regulate development, construction and uses.
